DFW Connector almost a year ahead of schedule |

Motorists have dealt with traffic pain for nearly two and a half years, as workers revamped the Texas 114/121 corridor. But officials closely following the $1 billion DFW Connector project say the work is actually 9 to 12 months ahead of schedule, and drivers may be enjoying a substantially complete new freeway by summer to fall of next year. Our curious reporter Gordon Dickson took a quick tour of the Grapevine highways, adhering to the 50 mph work zone speed limit, although if you watch this tape it doesn't always look that way (Video and editing by Gordon Dickson, April 297, 2012)
